If your mobile phone contract is coming to an end, this is a money-saving deal worth knowing about. QMS is a company that works with the mobile phone networks to encourage customers to renew their contracts. And their particular way of twisting your arm isn't an earful of sales speak or a bundle of extra texts you don't need. It's a discount on your tariff, or £60 in your bank account, or an upgrade to a fancy new phone.

Confidential are promoting it because the owner of QMS is an old friend of Gordo (a decent bloke who spotted a way of making some money from the mobile networks while getting the customers a better deal.) And also because we want a slice of the commission that the phone networks pay when you renew your contract. So to encourage you to use QMS we'll enter you into a monthly prize draw to win a Nintendo Wii or one of three £75 tabs to spend at a restaurant of your choice.

Different deals are available for different networks. QMS work with O2, Orange and Vodafone. Here's a summary of what you get from each one if you renew your contract with them using QMS.

Incentives for Vodafone and O2 customers:

• An upgrade to a swish new phone, such as the Nokia N86 or a Sony Ericsson W995.

• Or, if you've already got a phone you like, you can get a back-up phone in a basic model such as the Nokia 1661, and receive a cheque for £60.

To get one of these deals, you need to renew your contract for a further 18 or 24 months on a new Vodafone or O2 tariff. You can upgrade on Vodafone or O2 from one month before the end of your current contract.

Incentives for Orange customers

• An upgrade to a new phone, with high use customers offered particularly valuable models such as the Samsung Jet.

• Choose from a loyalty discount on you’re current tariff or opt to take a new up to date tariff.

To get one of these deals, you need to renew your contract for a further 18 or 24 months. You can upgrade on Orange up to three months before the end of your current contract.

It’s easy to lose track of the length of your contract so if you’re unsure when it is due to end, enter the competition and they will check for you.
