There are few things you can't pick up at Tesco nowadays: food, clothes, DVDs, insurance. And now houses.
Tesco suggest you use it as a home office, gym, or playroom. We suggest you use it as a very fancy shed – because that's essentially what it is.
Tesco have started selling flat pack homes by log cabin manufacturers Finnlife for £9,999. You won't find a 'Houses' aisle in your local supermarket though. Instead you get them from www.tesco.com and they'll deliver them for a £5 charge.
The 32ft by 16ft houses are made from high grade Scandinavian whitewood and have five rooms plus an upstairs storage area. There's eight double glazed windows, French doors, a felt shingle roof, and a decked terrace.

Tesco suggest you use it as a home office, gym or playroom. We suggest you use it as a very fancy shed – because that's essentially what it is. We can't really see anyone living in it all year round unless they're going to erect it somewhere with winters a lot warmer than ours.

Wherever you do decide to assemble it, you'll need to check you've got planning permission first. And make sure you've got a few friends on hand to help out. According to the manual, you'll also need a ladder, a saw, a screwdriver, and a tape measure. And a fair amount of patience and perseverance too, we expect.
The cabin comes with step-by-step instructions. Delivery is only available to mainland UK customers and usually takes a maximum of 21 days.
